Inspired by the remarkably haunting beauty of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Erbarme dich, mein Gott" Aria (No. 39) from the oratorio 'Matthäuspassion' (St Matthew Passion):

English translation: 

Have mercy, my God, 
for the sake of my tears! 
Look here, heart and eyes 
weep bitterly before You. 
Have mercy, have mercy!
